Crying like a baby when I got my kids from school

So I went to pick up my girls on the last day of school and wasn't planning on getting emotional.  As a matter of fact I just wanted to drop off some paint and foam letters to Kali's teacher and then go.  The main reason I actually went to the school was because I had to pick up Kali's medicine.  She had to have her medicine at school every day and if I didn't pick it up they were going to discard it.  So I went and picked it up.  Then I went to Mrs. Mayfield's room dropped off the paint and such and went to find Kali's class.  Well they were sending off the 6th grade and it was pretty emotional in there.  It was so powerful.  Then I watched Kali give a big hug to her teacher and I lost it.  I had to remove myself from the room for a minute to try and compose myself.  Then I went in and lost it again.  So I went to pick up Anna and her classmates were like why are you crying, which was hard cause I couldn't really talk.  Then h...

Evelyn my 4th born

My 4th girl!  I truly wanted a boy when I was pregnant with this precious girl.  I was really sad that she wasn't a boy.  I cried and felt so bad doing so.  I see the way that my girls look at their Dad and I wanted that relationship with a boy.  I also have felt very strongly that there is a boy that is suppose to come to our family and is was hard that she wasn't it.  Does that mean I'm not done having kids, honestly I don't know.  I can not imagine having any more kids right now.  I don't have the energy to chase around a crazy toddler.  I don't have the patience to deal with breastfeeding again, or a new born who never sleeps.  Maybe in a few months I may change my mind when I've moved and things have gotten back to normal a little bit more but for now I really just don't want to be pregnant. Back to Evelyn.  This girls is determined to keep up with her sisters and to get into every possible thing she can.  She has been w...

Elsie my 3rd born

This sweet 4 year old is such a joy!  I feel so grateful that she's my daughter!  She is truly a light and a big girly girl.  She smiles at everything and she wants to do the right thing all the time.  She was most definitely my hardest baby though.  Since a very very small baby she wouldn't let anyone hold her expect me or she would cry.  She had a very hard time with strangers and she clung to me like a magnet.  It was purely exhausting!  I felt like we both had a magnet and we were hooked together at all times.  She would let her Dad watch her sometimes but most of the time she wanted her Mom!  I loved all the snuggles and I loved spending that time with her but it got very overwhelming and exhausting.  I felt like I was loosing my sense of self worth.  Like all I was good for was feeding a baby, holding a baby, and trying to survive being a Mother of 3 so far from family and without much help from anyone around me.  I ...

Kali my 2nd born

Kali, my dear Kali!  This girl has taught me more in the 6 years of life then I could have ever learned any other way.  She is beautiful, the life of any party, yet so stubborn.  She almost always has a smile on her face and people love being her friend.  She makes friends easy and she loves fiercely.  She is just getting out of Kindergarten but is reading books like Billy B Brown, Mo Williams books with Elephant and Piggy, or many others with almost no problems.  I help with maybe a few words but other than that she reads it all by herself. She probably gets more attention than anyone in our family due to the fact that she deals with  incontinence, yet it's not always positive attention.  We are working on this.  She has never been able to keep her panties dry for a whole day.  It's been a VERY LONG process of trying to figure out how to help this child of my who is so smart figure out how to go to the bathroom in the potty every sing...

Anna my first born

For today you get to learn about my beautiful daughter Anna who is 8.  What a joy this sweet girl is.  She is so smart, talented and fun.  She played softball this year and loved it.  She mostly played 2nd base and by the end of the season she was hitting the ball really well.  She needs work on throwing but she will get there.  She has taken piano lessons for the last few years and has improved a lot and her teacher said she's really talented, which is true.  She loves to sing songs, be silly, and is a perfectionist. She wants to be in control of everything in her life and she loves to organize and make things perfect.  She loves acting like a Mom.  She loves telling people what to do and helping people who don't know how to do something do it.  She is very beautiful and will probably break some boys hearts one day or make one boy really happy.  I hope make one boy happy.  She is my kid who folds all of her clothes perfect a...

Life as a Mom of 4 girls

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Christy.  I have 4 beautiful daughters who I will share with you periodically and I hope you can bare with me on this journey of having a blog.  You see I became a coach/mentor for woman suffering with postpartum due to the fact that I have seriously struggled myself with postpartum myself.  The worst was after my 3rd daughter.  I have a facebook group called Postpartum Triumphs where woman can go to get support and encouragement as they go through the next experience of being a Mother.   This blog is a place where I will share my struggles and triumphs.  Where I will share how being a Mother is the greatest thing in the whole wide world and also the very hardest thing in the whole wide world! In the following days I will introduce to all of you my daughters and a little about them, oh and also my hubby.  You will most definitely get to hear about him:)  But for now you get to know a little about me....
